Lewis Gelfand, DVM

I am from Long Island originally, obtained an MS in genetics and my doctorate in Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University. I returned to New York in 1983 and started All Creatures in 1985 as a visiting at home service. Opened All Creatures Veterinary Hospital in 1987 and have happily provided care for Long Beach and the surrounding communities since. I am dedicated to keeping up with the technologic developments which veterinary medicine has experienced in the last 30 years. I became a laser surgeon in 1996 and transformed All Creatures into a digital practice over ten years ago. I am advocate of regenerative therapy and the future applications it promises. I have been blessed with a lovely family with my wife, daughter, son and my beautiful grandbabies. I am the proud owner of 3 dogs, Packer, Yogi, and Lambeau. I love Yankee baseball, Packer football, old and new movies, reading science fiction, working out and pretending to play golf.
